Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) posts are still open irrespective of court orders.
According to the Public Service Commission, applications for the position of Chief Administrative Secretary are still being accepted.
The Commission’s chief executive officer, Simon Rotich, stated that the job advert would remain active irrespective of court orders.
After the Employment and Labour Court suspended plans to create a Chief Administrative Secretary post, the situation needed clarifying.
Because of the lack of clarity on the role the CAS was supposed to play, LSK claims that the public was not adequately informed of the possible conflict of interest between the Principal Secretary and the CAS.
LSK argued that the money spent on CAS employees’ salaries and benefits would be inappropriate.
On October 24, the case will be heard.
