Located in the former Rift Valley Province of Kenya, Kajiado County is a sprawling expanse spanning an area of 21,292.7 km2 and is home to over 1,117,840 people as of 2019. The county shares its borders with Nairobi to the north and the Tanzanian regions of Arusha and Kilimanjaro to the south. While Kajiado serves as the county capital, the largest town is Ongata Rongai. The county’s wildlife is its primary draw as a tourist destination.
