About Us
Moi University, situated in Kesses within the town of Eldoret in Uasin Gishu county, was founded in 1984 by the Moi University Act of the Kenyan Parliament based on the recommendations made by the McKay Commission. As a public university, it is located in the former Rift Valley Province of Kenya.
At present, Moi University is headed by Professor Miriam Were, who serves as the chancellor, and Professor Isaac Sanga Kosgey, who holds the position of vice-chancellor.
