Nyamira County, located in the former Nyanza Province of Kenya, is adjacent to the former Nyamira District. The primary crops grown in the county are bananas and tea, and it has a population of 605,576 according to the 2019 census. The largest town and capital of the county is Nyamira, with an urban population of approximately 41,668 as per the 2009 census. To the East lies Kisii County, while Bomet and Kericho counties are situated to the West. Nyamira County also borders Homa Bay County to the North.
