About Us
Located in the resort town of Kilifi, within the larger Kilifi County in Kenya, Pwani University is a public university situated 60 km north of Mombasa. Initially established as a constituent college of Kenyatta University, it was formerly known as the Kilifi Institute of Agriculture, which was founded on 23 August 2007 through an order signed by H.E President Mwai Kibaki. Pwani University was later awarded a charter to operate as a fully-fledged university.
