Located along Tom Mboya avenue in Tudor, Mombasa, Kenya, the Technical University of Mombasa (TUM) is a public university that stands among the oldest institutions of higher learning in the country. Recently, TUM has been elevated to a fully-fledged university, having been one of the National Polytechnics in Kenya. The university was awarded its charter in 2013 by the former president, Mwai Kibaki.
