At our organization, we are responsible for funding, overseeing, and coordinating road maintenance, rehabilitation, and development to ensure a sustainable road network. Our duties include:
Coordinating the efficient use of funding to implement programs related to road network maintenance, rehabilitation, and development.
Ensuring optimal efficiency and cost-effectiveness in road works funded by the organization.
Managing the organization’s fund.
Determining the allocation of financial resources from other available sources, required by road agencies to maintain, rehabilitate, and develop the road network, based on a five-year road investment program approved by the Cabinet Secretary and the Cabinet Secretary for Finance.
Monitoring and evaluating the delivery of goods, works, and services funded by the organization through technical, financial, and performance audits.
Recommending appropriate levels of road user charges, fines, penalties, levies, or other necessary sums required to be collected under the Road Maintenance Levy Fund Act, 1993 and paid into the fund to the Cabinet Secretary.
Recommending periodic reviews of the fuel levy to the Cabinet Secretary as necessary for the fund’s purposes.
Identifying, quantifying, and recommending to the Cabinet Secretary other potential sources of revenue available to the fund for road development, rehabilitation, and maintenance.
