Assistant Housekeeper at Kenya Forest Service (KFS) Full Time

Job Specification

This will be the entry for this cadre. An officer at this level shall report to Housekeeper.

Duties and responsibilities

  1. Carrying out the maintenance of the cleanliness and sanitation in housekeeping facilities.
  2. Undertaking to report any maintenance within his/her area to the housekeeper.
  3. Carrying out the maintenance of the furniture, linen and beddings within the hostel and guest houses.
  4. Keeping records of sundry, linen stores and inventory.
  5. Reporting any strange occurrence in the hostel/guest houses to housekeeper.
  6. Making guest beds and restocking room supplies.
  7. Carrying out the distribution of Linen, towels and room supplies to respective users.
  8. Undertaking the issuing of rooms and keys as pre-allocated by the housekeeper.
  9. Liaising with the housekeeper in dealing with guest requests.

  11. Mentoring and Coaching

Person Specification

  1. Certificate in Housekeeping and Laundry or any relevant and equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.
  2. Proficiency in Computer application skills.

Method of Application

Hard copy applications

Attach current curriculum vitae (clearly indicating the mobile number, names and contact details of three referees), copies of relevant testimonials, academic and professional certificates and copy of national identity card.

The application should clearly be marked with reference number for each position and should either be sent through the post office or hand delivered to the following address in a sealed envelope marked “APPLICATION FOR (WRITE POSTION & REFERENCE); so as to reach the Service not later than 11th July, 2022 by 5.00pm.

NB: The application will not be considered complete until the two steps are successfully undertaken. Further, email applications shall not be considered.
