Assistant Structural Engineering II at Nyamira County Full Time

Qualifications:

• Must be a Kenyan citizen.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.
• Registered as a graduate member of Engineer’s Registration Board of Kenya.
• Possess a computer proficiency certificate.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage, design, develop, create, and maintain construction projects of different scales in a safe, timely, and sustainable manner.
• Conduct on-site investigations and analyze data, such as maps, reports, tests, drawings, and others.
• Prepare engineering drawings and structural designs for buildings, roads, water, and waste water facilities.
• Prepare bills of quantities and estimates for road works and other infrastructural projects.
• Review structural designs and drawings submitted by private developers for approvals.
• Supervise and inspect roads and building construction works within the Municipality.
• Inspect facilities and prepare maintenance procedures for completed infrastructural projects.
• Conduct site supervision for Municipal projects, including roads, water, and building projects, and prepare status reports.
• Conduct technical and feasibility studies and draw up blueprints that satisfy technical specifications.
• Monitor progress and compile reports on project status.
• Comply with guidelines and regulations, including permits, safety, etc., and deliver technical files and other technical documentation as required.
