Chief Superintending Quantity Surveyor at Nyamira County Full Time

Qualifications:

• Kenyan citizenship
• Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent from a recognized university in Kenya
• Nine (9) years relevant working experience as a Quantity Surveyor
• Registration with the Board of Registration of Architects and Quantity Surveyors of Kenya (BORAQS) as a professional Quantity Surveyor
• Corporate membership of the Institute of Quantity Surveyors of Kenya (IQSK) OR Architectural Association of Kenya (AAK)
• Advanced Computer Skills (MS Project, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Access)

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare cost estimates, Bills of Quantities, monthly valuations on site, and site measurements
• Prepare variation orders and final accounts involving the implementation of development projects for various departments and agencies
• Counter check site measurements and valuations, variation orders, calculate fluctuations, and prepare final accounts
• Perform cost analysis and cost planning from already completed projects
• Handle contract/project management issues and administer contract documentation
• Supervise Quantity Surveying services in the County
• Prepare progress reporting/performance appraisals
• Any other duties assigned by the supervisor
