Clinical Officer – Oncologists at Nyamira County

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of work experience as an oncologist in a recognized facility
Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery or equivalent from a recognized institution
Higher National diploma in Oncology from a recognized institution
Certificate of Registration from Clinical Officers’ Council
Valid professional Practice License from the Clinical Officer’s Council
Certificate in computer applications

Duties and Responsibilities:

Take history, examine, diagnose, and order laboratory and imaging investigations for cancer patients
Interpret laboratory and imaging results
Treat and provide clinical care for cancer patients
Guide and counsel cancer patients and staff on health issues
Sensitize cancer patients and clients on preventive and promotive health
Perform surgical procedures as per training and skill
Collect and compile clinical data
Assess, prepare, and present medico-legal reports
Refer cancer patients and clients to appropriate health facilities.
