Culture and Social Services Officer II at Nyamira County Full Time

Qualifications:

• Kenyan Citizen
• Degree in Education, Anthropology, Sociology, or any other related degree from a recognized institution in Kenya

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Endorse forms for cultural practitioners
• Oversee Kiswahili as a national language of communication as well as promoting indigenous languages
• Oversee liquor licensing and control at the Sub County level
• Endorse cultural groups and individuals requiring assistance with cultural grants
• Oversee preparation of cultural groups for participation in county and national functions and events
• Ensure the development of creative cultural industries
• Document viable cultural elements of intangible cultural heritage for inscription and safeguarding
