Director, Corporate Services at Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK) Full Time

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The officer will be responsible for:

• Overseeing the management of Finance and Accounts, Human Resource and Administration, Corporate Communications, and Information Communication Technology in the Board.
• Formulating, interpreting, and implementing human resource, corporate communications, and information communication technology policies, strategies, and programs.
• Prudently managing and utilizing all resources under the above departments.
• Developing a master strategy and business continuity management of the Directorate.
• Implementing the Board’s resolutions on matters affecting the departments under their oversight role.
• Consolidating departmental procurement plans and budgets.
• Encouraging teamwork and collaboration among the various departments under their supervision.
• Coordinating the preparation of respective board papers for Finance and Human Resource Board committees.
• Ensuring efficient, effective, professional, and sustainable human resource and administrative systems within the Board.
• Developing and implementing strategies for the respective departments.

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS

To qualify for the position, the candidate must:

• Have a minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience with at least 3 years in a management position.
• Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Commerce, Engineering, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
• Hold a Master’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Commerce, Engineering, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
• Be a member of a relevant professional body.
• Have a certificate in Leadership Course from a recognized institution.
• Be proficient in computer applications.
• Fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
• Demonstrate competence in work performance.
