Information Scientist – Resource Development & Knowledge Management Department – Nairobi at KEMRI Full Time
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the evaluation, organization, cataloguing, classifying, managing and distributing information in a variety of formats
- Providing support in creating relevant databases
- Ensuring that information is up to date
- Support in documenting of information requests from users
- Contributing to development of promotional material for resource center
- Assisting in preparation of information audits and inquiries
- Helping to develop intranets for staff use
- Support in preparation and maintenance of resource database
Vacancy Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in information science or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution
- Proficiency in computer application; and
- Problem-solving skills.
- IT skills, including internet research skills.
- Good organizational skills.
- Teamwork and customer care skill
