Internal Auditor I at Machakos County Public Service Board Full Time

Revised Duties and Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Executing audit programs
• Collecting audit evidence on significant issues
• Reviewing the operation of internal control systems
• Verifying the existence and security of government assets
• Preparing draft reports and holding discussions with clients
• Reviewing budgetary controls on the issuance of authority to incur expenditure and commitments
• Ensuring the completeness and accuracy of records and reports

Qualifications:

To be eligible for this position, candidates must meet one of the following criteria:

• Passed CPA Part III or CIA Part IV or possess a Bachelor of Commerce degree with Accounting/Finance option and CPA Part II or CIA Part III from a recognized institution
• Served in the position of Internal Auditor II for three (3) years, possess a Bachelor of Commerce degree with Accounting/Finance option or CPA Part II/CIA III from a recognized institution
• Possess CPA Part I or Diploma in Auditing and have served in the position of Internal Auditor II for at least five (5) years.
