Kenya Enrolled Community Health Nurse III – 5 Posts at Nyamira County Public Service Board Full Time

Job Requirements:

• Must be a Kenyan citizen
• Must possess a certificate in any of the following disciplines: Kenya Enrolled Nurse, Kenya Enrolled Community Health Nurse, Kenya Enrolled Midwife, Kenya Enrolled Psychiatric Nurse or Enrolled Nurse/Midwife from a recognized training institution
• Must have an enrolment certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Kenya
• Must have a valid practicing license from Nursing Council of Kenya
• Must possess a certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assess patients and clients and establish their healthcare needs
• Plan and implement nursing care interventions based on patients’/clients’ health needs
• Provide appropriate healthcare services, including immunization, antenatal care, delivery, referring patients and clients appropriately
• Evaluate healthcare outcomes of patients/clients and prepare individualized reports
• Make appropriate discharge plans for patients and conduct assessments of school health needs
• Plan, implement interventions and prepare periodic reports
• Maintain records on patients/clients personal and health condition/care
• Ensure a tidy and safe clinical environment and safe custody for in-patient belongings
• Conduct home visits, follow up discharged patients/clients and provide continuity of care
• Treat minor ailments.
