Kenyatta Hospital – Assistant Medical Engineering Technologist Full Time

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Carrying out assigned duties of sectional works as per set targets.
2. Receiving, utilizing and accounting for materials and spares.
3. Ensuring safe and efficient use of tools and equipment in the section.
4. Carrying out medical equipment installation works and duties in line with set standards, practices, observations, and guidelines applicable in the unit.
5. Ensuring all job cards of works assigned are duly completed and returned to the supervisor.
6. Observing cleanliness, orderliness, at a personal level and at the workplace.
7. Ensuring punctuality, availability, and efficient use of all working hours.
8. Participating in committee meetings as appropriate.
9. Ensuring the safety and security of self, staff clients, and facilities.
10. Ensuring that the overall activities meet the requirements of quality management and environmental policies and legal stipulations.
11. Interpretation of Architectural and Engineering drawings.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Diploma in Medical Engineering Technology or equivalent from a recognized institution.
2. Proof of experience of at least two (2) years’ experience in the following areas: – critical care equipment, theatre equipment, Therapeutic and Diagnostic equipment.
3. Registration with the relevant professional body.
4. Proficiency in computer applications.
