Kenyatta Hospital – Assistant Registered Clinical Officer (Paediatrics) Full Time

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Taking medical history, performing physical examinations, diagnosing, and treating patients in the pediatric department.
• Providing specialized clinical services in pediatrics and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient patient care.
• Counselling patients, clients, and staff on health issues and sensitizing them on preventive and promotive health.
• Implementing community healthcare activities in liaison with other healthcare workers to improve public health.
• Carrying out minor surgical procedures as per training and skills.
• Collecting and compiling clinical data, preparing and presenting medico-legal reports.
• Teaching and mentoring students undertaking training in the field of pediatrics.
• Referring patients/clients to appropriate clinics and specialties.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Higher Diploma in Pediatrics or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
• Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
• Certificate of Registration from the Clinical Officers Council of Kenya.
• Valid practicing license from the Clinical Officers Council of Kenya.
• Evidence of Proficiency in Computer Application.
