Kenyatta Hospital – Assistant Registered Clinical Officer (Respiratory & Infectious Diseases) – 3 Posts Full Time

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Taking history, examining, diagnosing and treating patients.
2. Offering specialized clinical services in respiratory diseases.
3. Guiding and counselling patients/clients and other staff on health issues.
4. Implementing community health care activities in liaison with other health care workers.
5. Carrying out minor surgical procedures as per training and skills.
6. Collecting and compiling clinical data.
7. Assessing, preparing and presenting medico-legal reports.
8. Liaising with other health care personnel for efficient delivery of patient care.
9. Teaching students undertaking training in the field.
10. Referring patients/clients to appropriate clinics and specialties.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Higher Diploma in Respiratory & Infectious Diseases or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
2. Diploma in Clinical Medicine & Surgery or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
3. Certificate of Registration from the Clinical Officers Council of Kenya.
4. Valid practicing license from the Clinical Officers Council of Kenya.
5. Evidence of proficiency in Computer Application.

Note: Candidates with experience in providing respiratory healthcare services and carrying out minor surgical procedures will have an added advantage.
