Kenyatta Hospital – Perfusionist (Assistant Registered Clinical Officer/ Nursing Officer) Full Time

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. History taking, examining, diagnosing, educating and treating common ailments at an outpatient or inpatient in the hospital.
2. Implementing community health care activities in liaison with other health workers.
3. Guiding and counseling patients, clients and staff on health issues.
4. Sensitizing patients and clients on preventive and promotive health.
5. Carrying out minor surgical procedures as per training and skills.
6. Assessing, preparing and presenting medico-legal reports.
7. Training, guiding and mentoring students on internship.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Higher Diploma in Perfusion or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
2. Diploma in Clinical Medicine & Surgery or Diploma in Registered Community Health Nursing or their equivalent from a recognized institution.
3. Certificate of Registration from the Clinical Officers Council of Kenya or Nursing Council of Kenya.
4. Valid practicing license from relevant professional body.
5. Evidence of proficiency in Computer Application.

Note: Candidates with experience in providing healthcare services in both outpatient and inpatient settings will have an added advantage.
