Job Specification:

• Follow study SOPs for sample registration, quality control, storage, and resolution of anomalies
• Ensure proper sample registration and recording
• Participate in training of field workers
• Ensure adequate sample labeling and storage
• Perform quality assurance activities and anomalies resolution
• Follow SOPs for sample handling
• Communicate with Laboratory Supervisor for compliance with regulatory requirements
• Assist in sample shipping preparation
• Follow biosafety rules
• Attend necessary trainings
• Perform other duties as assigned

Person specification:

• Diploma in biomedical sciences, laboratory technology or related field
• IATA certificate (preferred)
• GCP and GCLP training (preferred)
• Proficiency in English and Swahili
• Experience in laboratory techniques
• Knowledge of GCP and GCLP
• Basic informatics skills for data input
• Experience in Kwale County (desired)
• Excellent organizational skills
• Team player and proactive
• Flexible and adaptable

Terms of Employment:

Eight-month renewable contract with a probation period of three months. Salary is payable within the job grade.
