Legal Researcher at Nyamira County Full Time

Qualifications:

• Must be a Kenyan Citizen;
• Bachelor of Law LLB degree from a recognized University;
• Master’s degree in a relevant field is an added advantage;
• Post-graduate Diploma in legal studies from the Council of legal Education;
• Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with a current practicing certificate;
• Member of the Law Society of Kenya;
• 3 years of relevant work experience;
• Proficiency Certificate in Computer applications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conducting legal research on assigned issues;
• Collecting and organizing research data;
• Interviewing clients for proper referrals;
• Maintaining a database of legal research materials for use by attorneys and other legal professionals;
• Preparing briefing memos, reports, and other written materials summarizing research findings;
• Writing legal briefs based on research findings;
• Identifying relevant legal precedents and case law to support legal arguments;
• Conducting preliminary research to identify relevant legal issues and establish a framework for further research.
