Principal Accountant at Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK) Full Time

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participate in the development and implementation of audit strategies, policies, and procedures;
• Contribute to the preparation of the annual audit plan based on risk assessment;
• Prepare audit reports and ensure timely issuance to management for action;
• Evaluate the effectiveness of action taken to implement audit recommendations;
• Assist in the preparation of quarterly audit reports to the Audit and Risk Management Committee;
• Conduct special audits and investigations;
• Evaluate the performance of department staff;
• Contribute to the preparation and monitoring of the department’s annual budget.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of six (6) years relevant work experience;
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration (Finance and Accounting option), or a relevant field from a recognized university;
• Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (K) or equivalent qualification;
• Registered member of ICPAK in good standing;
• Proficient in computer applications;
• Demonstrated merit and ability in work performance and results;
• Fulfillment of chapter six of the constitution requirements.
