PRINCIPAL COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER at National Government Affirmative Action Fund Full Time

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Developing, implementing, and reviewing policies, strategies, regulations, and procedures on corporate communications
• Promoting and managing the corporate image of the Fund
• Coordinating the implementation of branding, awareness, and social responsibility activities to enhance visibility of the Fund
• Developing content of events and information for uploading on the Fund’s website
• Managing and monitoring media coverage and submitting media reports
• Coordinating public functions and corporate events of the Fund
• Coordinating the development of Information, Education, Communication (IEC) including merchandise and promotional materials for publication
• Coordinating the preparation of reports, speeches, publications, website contents, newsletters, outreach materials, and audio/video production
• Identifying and implementing branding, awareness, and social responsibility activities to enhance visibility of the Fund
• Uploading events and information on the Fund’s website
• Monitoring and managing media coverage and submitting media reports
• Coordinating Fund’s public functions and corporate events
• Spearheading the editing, designing, and distribution of Information, Education, Communication (IEC) including merchandise and promotional materials

Qualifications:

• Served in the grade of Senior Corporate Communication Officer for a minimum period of four (4) years or in a comparable and relevant position in the Public Service for a minimum period of eight (8) years, three (3) of which should have been at a supervisory position
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Public Relations, International Relations, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
• Master’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Public Relations, International Relations, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
• Membership with a relevant professional body in good standing
• Certificate in Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution
• Met the requirements of Chapter six of the Constitution
