Senior Director of Supply Chain Management at Machakos County Public Service Board Full Time

Duties and Responsibilities

• Reviewing and initiating policy updates on procedures, rules, and regulations
• Preparing procurement plans for Ministries/Departments
• Implementing e-government procurement strategies and managing inventory
• Advising on outsourcing procurement and disposal functions for goods and services
• Developing procurement and inventory manuals for Ministries/Departments
• Renewing performance targets and agreements
• Participating in project design and implementation
• Designing training programs for Supply Chain Management personnel

Requirements for Appointment

• Membership in a recognized Purchasing and Supplies Management professional body
• At least three (3) years of experience in the grade of Deputy Director, Supply Chain Management Services or a comparable and relevant position in the Public Service
• Diploma in Purchasing and Supply Management or equivalent from a recognized institution
• Bachelor’s Degree in Purchasing and Supply Management or equivalent from a recognized institution
• Master’s Degree in Purchasing and Supply Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Commerce, Entrepreneurship, Law, or any other relevant qualification from a recognized institution
