Senior Industrial Training Officer – Standards and Quality Assurance at National Industrial Training Authority (NITA) Full Time

Job Description
The Senior Industrial Training Officer – Standards and Quality Assurance is responsible for the following;

• Carrying out risk assessments, which involves analyzing risks as well as identification;
• Preparing business continuity plans in conjunction with technical and planning departments to limit risks and prepare a mitigation plans;
• Assisting in carrying out quarterly audits to ensure compliance with ISO procedures;
• Assisting in conducting and scheduling effective training for staff in regard to Quality Management Systems;
• Assisting in definition of quality procedures in conjunction with operational and technical staff;
• Assisting in maintenance of controls and documentation procedures and policies;
• Assisting in compiling data for trend analysis and reporting;
• Assisting in the implementation of the annual Quality Improvement Plan;
• Assisting in carrying out quarterly routine awareness programs to management on risk management;
• Assisting in the implementation of business processing reengineering initiatives.

Person Specifications
For appointment at this position, a candidate must have: –

• At least four (4) years relevant work experience in the Public Service or Private Sector;
• Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Information Communication Technology, Automotive, Civil Engineering, Building Economics, Renewable Energy, Beauty Therapy, Textile Engineering, Clothing/Apparel/Fashion & Design, Structural, Medical, Education, Architecture, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Curriculum Development any other occupational field or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
• Supervisory course lasting not less than two (2) weeks from a recognized institution;
• Be in possession of Instructor Training certificate of not less than four (4) weeks or its equivalent from a recognized institution;
• Proficiency in Computer Applications;
• Good communication skills;
• Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results;
• Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the constitution.
