Senior Principal Environmental Compliance Officer at NEMA Full Time

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and safeguarding the environment.
• Developing and coordinating licensing programs across the country.
• Monitoring licensing activities and drafting license conditions and regulations.
• Developing sector-specific guidelines and license conditions.
• Coordinating development of work plans, budget, and performance targets for the division.
• Supervising, coaching, and appraising staff in the Compliance division.

Requirements for Appointment:

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies, Science, Engineering, or any relevant field from a recognized institution.
• Master’s degree in Environmental Studies, Science, Engineering, Project Management or any other relevant field from a recognized institution.
• Management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution.
• A minimum of ten (10) years relevant work experience and at least three (3) years in a management role in the Public Service or Private Sector.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Good communication skills.
• Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
• Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution.
