Senior Principal Internal Audit at NEMA Full Time

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assisting in preparing annual work plans for audits and leading risk assessment and management guidelines
• Developing a comprehensive program of engagement for assigned areas and ensuring conformity to acceptable standards, plans, budgets, and schedules
• Leading specific audit teams, documenting audit findings, and following up on implementation of recommendations
• Performing audit tests on internal controls in accounting, administration, and operational procedures
• Preparing draft audit reports and periodic audit reports
• Ensuring accountability and compliance with principles and values of good governance
• Supervising, appraising, and developing audit staff to maintain high audit standards within the function

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent from a recognized institution
• Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent from a recognized institution
• Part III of the Certified Public Accountants (CPA) Examination or equivalent from a recognized institution
• Minimum 10 years relevant work experience and 3 years in a management role in Public Service or Private Sector
• Management course lasting at least 4 weeks from a recognized institution
• Membership of relevant professional bodies
• Proficiency in computer applications
• Good communication skills
• Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results
• Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
