Teachers – Secondary School – Mandera at TSC Full Time

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Teach and guide students in a specific subject area, following the school’s curriculum, and ensure equal learning opportunities for all students.
• Create lesson plans, prepare teaching materials, and deliver engaging and informative lessons that cater to the diverse learning needs of students.
• Assess student learning and provide feedback to students and their parents/guardians on their progress and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student success.
• Maintain accurate records of students’ academic and behavioral progress, attendance, grades, and other relevant information.

Qualifications:

• Be a Kenyan citizen.
• Be registered with the Teachers Service Commission as a teacher.
• Hold a minimum of a Diploma in Education (for secondary school positions) or other relevant qualifications as specified by the school.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of the subject(s) to be taught, as well as relevant teaching methods and techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

General Information:

• The recruitment process will follow the Teachers Service Commission Recruitment Guidelines for the 2022/2023 Financial Year.
• Successful primary school candidates will be posted to serve in any school within the county where the post was advertised.
• Shortlisted candidates must produce original copies of their academic and professional certificates.
