Mr. Amin Ibrahim Mohamed appointed as the new Director, Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
Internal Affairs Unit Senior Assistant Inspector General Mohamed Amin has been promoted to lead the Directorate of Criminal Investigations(DCI) after being nominated by President William Ruto.
After George Kinoti’s resignation last month, Amin will take over as the director.
In a gazette notification dated October 14, Ruto made the announcement.
“In exercise of the powers conferred, I William Ruto appoint Amin Mohamed to be the director, DCI.” The notice read.
The DCI’s primary responsibilities include gathering and disseminating information on criminal activity, conducting investigations into major crimes like as murder, drug trafficking, money laundering, and economic offenses, and maintaining peace.
